Job summary

TAC Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking a maintenance supervisor with FMCG experience to lead a team in preventive and corrective maintenance. You will ensure jobs are completed accurately, manage worklists, and monitor downtime reporting to drive high quality outcomes.

The role requires a Grade 12, a mechanical or electrical trade test, and 3–5 years engineering experience in FMCG. You will uphold OH&S guidelines and supervise staff while maintaining hygienic standards and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Technical trade test (Mechanical/Electrical) is required.
• 3-5 years engineering experience in FMCG environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and preventive maintenance work.
• Ensure Job cards issued are completed.
• Effective turnaround time of Corrective and Preventive maintenance work issued.
• Ensuring Job cards are completed correctly.
• Managing and prioritizing worklists from available resources.
• Maintenance check sheets are returned and completed accurately.
• Ensuring effective maintenance team response time to breakdowns reported.
• Reporting of Downtime details accurately.
• Ensure quality of work is of a high standard.
• Available for Standby duties.
• Supervise Crew of maintenance staff.
• Always ensure acceptable personal hygiene of all staff.
• Always manage correct use of PPE.
• Ensure that process and product hygiene standards are always maintained.
• Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and procedures
