Job summary

Scania South Africa seeks a qualified Diesel Technician to perform high quality repairs and maintenance on heavy vehicles in our Middelburg workshop. You will apply technical knowledge, safety standards and defined processes to achieve reliable, on-time service and customer satisfaction.

You must have Matric or N3 and a Diesel Trade Test, plus a minimum of three years’ workshop experience. The role prioritises teamwork, integrity and a commercial mindset in a fast paced environment.

• Diesel technician trade test certificate required
• Minimum 3 years workshop experience with heavy vehicles
• Experience in repairs and maintenance of heavy vehicles

Responsibilities

• Before Maintenance or Repair Event - Ensure correct information, tools and spare parts are available
• During Maintenance or Repair Event - Perform maintenance/repair on time using defined methods and standards
• After Maintenance or Repair Event - Minimize invoicing lead time with clear description of work

Job Responsibilities

• Before Maintenance or Repair Event - Secure that right information, tools and spare parts are available
• During Maintenance or Repair Event - Through well-known and described working methods and standards perform maintenance or repair on time in a correct and safe way
• After Maintenance or Repair Event - Secure minimized lead time of invoicing. Through clear description of performed work and/or communicated what needs to be done if the work is handed over to a colleague

Applicant must meet these minimum requirements:

• Matric certificate or N3 or equivalent
• Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade Test Certificate
• Must have MINIMUM of 3 YEARS Experience NOT- NEGOTIABLE
• Previous workshop Experience with repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles
