Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Manager to oversee the technical operations of our vessels, coordinating maintenance, repairs and inspections.

You will lead maintenance planning, monitor performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide guidance to the crew while coordinating with vessel owners and stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, decision-making under pressure, and travel on board as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical supervisory role in the maritime industry.
• Strong knowledge of vessel operations, maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using computer software and programs.
• Willingness to travel and work on board vessels when necessary.
• Valid certifications and licenses as required by the industry.
