Job summary

Chosen Online Pty Ltd in Gauteng is seeking a Technical Solutions Consultant to drive Microsoft 365 transformation projects, including migrations, identity, security and compliance for diverse clients in a hybrid setup.

You will lead discovery, design, migration execution, cutover and remediation while collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver secure cloud outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of Microsoft 365 migration experience.
• Experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.
• Familiarity with migration tools like Quest/Binary Tree, AvePoint and ShareGate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to Microsoft 365 migration discovery and technical design.
• Deliver tenant-to-tenant migrations across core workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
• Configure and operate migration platforms (Quest/Binary Tree, AvePoint, ShareGate).
• Plan pilot migrations, testing, cutovers and remediation.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work across the full consulting lifecycle - from discovery and solution design through migration, cutover, remediation and handover.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and contributing to Microsoft 365 migration discovery and technical design


• Delivering tenant-to-tenant migrations across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, identities, domains and permissions


• Configuring and operating migration platforms such as Quest/Binary Tree, AvePoint and ShareGate


• Planning and executing pilot migrations, testing, cutovers and remediation


• Designing and configuring Microsoft Purview, including sensitivity labels, information protection, DLP, retention, records management, content search and eDiscovery


• Working with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, identity synchronisation and hybrid environments


• Using PowerShell for administration, automation, validation and reporting


• Facilitating customer workshops and communicating technical solutions and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Producing high-quality technical documentation, migration plans, runbooks and handover materials


• Contributing to our migration methodologies, reusable tools, scripts and delivery standards


• Sharing knowledge and supporting the development of junior consultants

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with 3-7+ years of experience working with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID and related cloud technologies in a consulting or enterprise environment.

You should have practical experience in:

• Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant and workload migrations


• Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams


• Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory


• Microsoft Purview and information governance


• PowerShell administration and automation
