Job summary

Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales and Customer Support Specialist to join an international manufacturer of metal pretreatment chemicals. Based remotely in Gauteng, you will support existing clients, manage a major account, drive sales initiatives and coordinate technical and commercial queries across manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• Own vehicle and valid driver license.
• Diploma or Degree in Chemistry.
• Practical laboratory knowledge or experience.
• Technical knowledge in chemicals or metal pretreatment is advantageous.
• Sales, key account or technical support experience.
• Certifications in Key Account Management or sales are advantageous.
• Business management training is advantageous.
• Strong communication with factory-floor to senior management.
• Based in Gauteng with willingness to travel to Durban, Gqeberha and others.
• Access to a personal credit card for business travel expenses.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing technical, operational and commercial support to existing customers.
• Manage a major manufacturing account and handle technical queries, orders and deliveries.
• Maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Develop and grow new business within the Gauteng region.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Support customers in metal manufacturing and related sectors.
• Engage with production, quality, engineering and purchasing teams.
• Plan and execute customer activities and account development strategies.
• Monitor risks and implement preventative measures.
• Coordinate orders, deliveries, communication and related administration.
