Job summary

e-Merge IT Recruitment in Randburg seeks a Technical Manager to lead our technical team, strengthen customer relationships and drive service delivery. You will work with Account Management, Sales, Development and Finance to ensure high customer satisfaction and optimized operations.

The role focuses on backup protection, licence utilisation and risk reduction, with emphasis on staff development, performance reviews, and cross-functional collaboration to support customer retention and business

Qualifications

10+ years of professional IT experience in IT services, infrastructure or technical operations.
5+ years of technical team management experience, including coaching and accountability.
Strong understanding of IT support, service levels and KPIs.
Experience overseeing multiple technical projects and managing competing demands.
Excellent customer-facing communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop technical engineers across varying levels of experience.
Manage workload allocation, team capacity and staff leave.
Coordinate stand-ups to review progress and align priorities.
Monitor service delivery, escalations and operational performance.
Conduct performance reviews and coordinate staff training.
