Job summary

Rory Mackie & Associates in Cape Town seeks a detail-oriented administrator to coordinate RFQs, prepare technical documentation and manage engineering queries within our PCB/electronics environment.

You will safeguard data accuracy in ERP and document systems, support department workflows, and help strategies that improve service, sales and overall profitability.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with administration experience in a technical/engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role, ideally PCB/electronics industry.
• Familiarity with CAM software advantageous.
• Quantifiable skills in document control and revision management; strong MS Office and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the RFQs across the department.
• Prepare and control technical documentation.
• Administer Engineering Queries (EQs).
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of technical data in ERP, DMS and databases.
• Coordinate department workflow and processes.
• Support initiatives to improve customer service, sales, efficiency and profitability.

Key Results Area:

• Responsible for the co-ordination of Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
• Preparation and control of technical documentation
• Administration of Engineering Queries (EQs)
• Accuracy and integrity of technical data held in the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), document management systems and technical database
• Coordinate department workflow
• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance customer service, increase sales & efficiency and the overall profitability of the business
