Job summary

Telkom South Africa, Openserve division, is looking for a Cable Network Technician to repair and maintain telecoms infrastructure in Calvinia. You will operate in the field, interpret instructions, obtain materials, and ensure continuous service to customers.

The role involves Fibre, coax, and trunk networks; you will diagnose faults, perform installations, update records, and adhere to health and safety standards. A relevant NQF qualification and at least 3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• NQF 4 or NQF 3 with relevant modular training required.
• National Certificate/Senior Certificate or vocational certificate.
• 3 years relevant experience or more preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain cable network per instructions.
• Interpret instructions and obtain materials and prepare work area.
• Inspect resources and update records.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs; ensure documentation is complete.
• Complete site documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
