Qualifications

• 5-7 years of practical experience in payments, settlements, or financial markets operations.
• Extensive knowledge of African market settlement environments, including CSD and custodian interactions, cross-border settlements.
• Experience across the trade lifecycle, including coupon settlements and risk control activities.
• Proven leadership to coach and develop a settlements team under high-volume, time-sensitive conditions.
• Strong controls mindset to improve settlement efficiency and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, monitor and supervise a settlements team to deliver timely settlements.
• Ensure settlements comply with market rules, directives, policies and deadlines.
• Manage cross-border settlement processes, including Euroclear flows and settlement instruction lifecycles.
• Identify and address operational risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop team, allocate work and ensure high-quality service delivery.
