Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Foundation Phase teacher for a primary school in Upington. You will focus on early literacy, numeracy, and holistic development, creating a nurturing classroom where young learners explore, learn and grow.

The successful candidate will have a Foundation Phase qualification, be SACE-registered, and bring passion for early childhood education to foster a joyful learning experience for every child in Upington.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons across the Foundation Phase curriculum, focusing on literacy and numeracy.

• Assess student progress through various methods, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive space for all learners.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Foundation Phase teaching (e.g., B.Ed. Foundation Phase).
• Registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
• Experience teaching Grade R-3 learners is preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education methodologies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
