About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Primary School Teacher to join their Foundation Phase team in Mossel Bay . You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, managing a classroom effectively, and contributing to the positive ethos of the school. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, committed to student development, and eager to become an integral part of the local school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for Foundation Phase learners (Grades R-3) in accordance with the curriculum.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Assess student progress through various methods, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Integrate play-based learning and creative activities into the daily curriculum.
• Participate actively in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements

• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed. Foundation Phase or PGCE) with a specialization in Foundation Phase teaching.
• Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
• Proven experience teaching young children, ideally within the Foundation Phase.
• A deep understanding of child development and early learning principles.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated creativity and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
