Job summary

People Dimension is seeking an experienced Junior Systems Engineer in Pretoria, South Africa. The role involves maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing databases.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of Systems Administration experience in the Telecoms industry, along with a relevant Bachelor’s degree. The monthly salary offered ranges from R 25,000 to R 35,000 CTC.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Junior Systems Engineer at an ISP.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator.
• Must have experience of working as a Systems Administrator in the Telecoms industry.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining all computer systems for the Company.
• Responsible for installing, monitoring and troubleshooting operating systems, software, hardware and other computer infrastructure.
• Performing system upgrades, integrations and improvements.
• Designing and implementing systems and tools.
• Managing backup, recovery and databases.
• Monitoring and capacity planning for servers.
• Administer security systems and access.
• Provide office operation support and 2nd Line technical support when needed.
