Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Supply Chain Optimization Engineer to enhance Mossel Bay's logistics and distribution networks. You will analyze and improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability across procurement to delivery, leveraging data analytics and modeling to identify bottlenecks and optimize inventory and routing.

You will work with procurement, logistics and manufacturing teams to implement innovative solutions ensuring a robust and responsive supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations engineering.
• Proven experience with supply chain optimization techniques, inventory management systems, and network modeling.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel, SQL, Python and data visualization tools.
• Experience with ERP and WMS systems.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end supply chain operations to identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce lead times and costs.
• Use data analytics and modeling to forecast demand, optimize inventory and plan network design.
• Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders for seamless flow of goods.
• Establish and track KPIs for supply chain performance and report progress.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance supply chain visibility and agility.
