Placements24 is seeking a motivated Supply Chain Engineer to optimize logistics and inventory management in Port Elizabeth. You will apply industrial engineering principles to improve the flow of goods from suppliers to customers and to minimize costs while enhancing delivery times.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with data analytics and modeling, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in the Eastern Cape's dynamic logistics landscape of Port Elizabeth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related quantitative field is required.
Strong analytical and data analysis skills are essential.
Experience with ERP systems and supply chain modeling tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize supply chain networks across warehousing, transport and inventory.
Develop cost-reduction strategies and improve delivery performance.
Forecast demand and manage inventory using data analytics and modeling.
Collaborate with suppliers and carriers to ensure smooth operations.
Design efficient material handling and storage within distribution centers.
Monitor KPIs and report performance and improvement opportunities.
