Placements24 seeks a visionary Supply Chain Director in Durban to lead end-to-end supply chain strategy for a fast-growing FMCG unit. You will optimize inventory, warehousing, procurement, and logistics, while driving analytics and advanced technologies to improve forecasting and planning.

The role requires a Master’s in SCM and 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience, with a track record of cost savings and efficiency in complex networks.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in SCM, Logistics, or related field.
• 10–15 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, FMCG preferred.
• Proven expertise in optimizing global and domestic supply chains.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, WMS, TMS and ERP systems.

About the Role

Our client seeks a visionary Supply Chain Director to oversee and optimize all aspects of their supply chain operations for the FMCG business unit based in Durban. This senior leadership role is instrumental in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely flow of goods from procurement through to final delivery. You will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge supply chain strategies, managing complex logistics, fostering strong supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing, inventory management, and transportation to meet the demands of our rapidly growing market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for the end-to-end supply chain, focusing on efficiency and cost optimization.
