Qualifications

• Strong data-driven decision making and global supply chain awareness.
• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, or related field; Master’s or APICS desirable.

About the Role

Our client, a well-established enterprise in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Supply Chain Director to lead its comprehensive supply chain operations. This senior management position, based in Mossel Bay, Western Cape , will be responsible for the end-to-end management of procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution functions across South Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global supply chain best practices, with a proven ability to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods, maintaining high service levels, and supporting the company's growth objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated supply chain strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
• Oversee and optimize all aspects of procurement, demand planning, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 4 years in a director-level or senior management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chains, preferably within the FMCG or retail sectors.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, and inventory optimization.
• Strong understanding of global supply chain trends, risk management, and sustainability practices.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS) is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, develop insights, and implement data-driven strategies.
• Experience working in a hybrid capacity, with the ability to manage operations effectively across different locations.
