Job summary

Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Route Sales Supervisor in Johannesburg to maximise route potential and drive profitable availability. You will manage route sales, coach Salesman Drivers and Sales Assistants, and oversee crates, PODs, and driver shorts to ensure efficient operations.

The role requires 3+ years in sales supervision within FMCG, a Grade 12 certificate, and strong customer service execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in sales supervision in FMCG.
• Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
• Strong customer service execution in FMCG.

Responsibilities

• Manage route sales and optimize distribution.
• Coach Salesman Drivers on a daily basis.
• Oversee driver shorts, crates and PODs.
• Lead a team across multiple levels within the route.
• Leverage routing, GIS, and telematics data to improve performance.
• Work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Job Purpose:

To maximize the route potential thus ensuring profitable availability. Managing route sales, driver shorts, crates and PODs through your team consisting of Salesman Drivers and Sales Assistants. Daily couching of Salesman Drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Computer Literate.
• Geographic Information Systems.
• Advanced Excel user.
• Route Planning systems, an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Geospatial data (Spatial Data)
• Routing and Distribution Optimization.
• Working knowledge of vehicle telematics technology & software.
• People management – experience with working with people at all levels of the organization.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Min 3 years Sales Supervisory experience, with a strong emphasis on Customer Service Execution in an FMCG environment.
• Grade 12 (matric) certificate or equivalent

• High level of understanding of the FMCG industry
• Good relationship and communication skills
• Good administrative skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Be prepared to work additional hours
