Job summary

WSP in Africa is growing its Power & Energy team and is looking for Substation Primary Plant Design Engineers and Technologists at Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Levels. You will contribute to transmission, distribution and renewable-energy grid connection projects across Africa and international markets, working on LV, MV, HV and EHV systems up to 765 kV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level electrical engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in substation primary plant design preferred.
• Registration with ECSA at appropriate level.

Responsibilities

• Develop substation layouts and single-line diagrams.
• Prepare equipment lists, specifications, and tender docs.
• Review designs from suppliers and support construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on grid projects.
