Job summary

WSP Africa is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Energy team, leading delivery on power generation projects across South Africa, Africa and international markets. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety, and drive technical quality from concept through execution.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant engineering qualification, PMP certification or equivalent, and possess 15+ years in transmission and distribution with substantial substations experience.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' experience in transmission and distribution.
• PMP certification or professional registration.
• Engineering qualification from internationally recognized institution.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex power projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering complex power generation projects.
• Prepare designs, bills of quantity and tender documents for power generation projects.
• Manage schedules, budgets and resources to deliver on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, SANS standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports, cost estimates and budgets.
• Contribute to proposals by defining project scope and methodologies.
• Travel as required.
