Placements24 is seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor to join the Stellenbosch team. You will provide professional counseling and support to individuals struggling with addiction, guiding clients through recovery and developing personalized treatment plans.

The role involves facilitating group therapy sessions, offering crisis intervention, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to support clients on their recovery journey in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
• Relevant certification or license as a substance abuse counselor.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in addiction counseling.
• Proficiency in various counseling modalities and therapeutic techniques.
• Strong understanding of addiction, recovery processes, and mental health.

Responsabilités

• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' substance abuse issues and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including therapeutic interventions and relapse prevention strategies.
