Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and articulate Subject Matter Expert (SME) in History to contribute to the development of educational content for their learning platform in Soweto . This role involves reviewing, validating, and refining historical course materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and pedagogical effectiveness. You will collaborate with curriculum developers to create engaging and informative learning experiences that accurately reflect historical events and interpretations, playing a key role in delivering high-quality educational resources within the Gauteng province.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate historical content for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to curriculum standards.
• Provide expert insights and feedback on historical interpretations, events, and figures.
• Collaborate with instructional designers to develop engaging learning materials, including text, assessments, and multimedia content.
• Ensure content is age-appropriate and aligns with educational learning objectives.
• Assist in the creation of assessments, quizzes, and test questions related to historical topics.
• Stay current with historical research and pedagogical approaches in history education.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or PhD in History or a related field with a specialization in a relevant area.
• Proven experience as a historian, educator, or researcher with a strong publication record or curriculum development portfolio.
