Job summary

Nelson Mandela University invites applications for a staff role focused on humanising student-centred and staff support within the Faculty Postgraduate Administration. The successful candidate will engage with staff and students to solve problems, manage change, and improve efficiency, while providing secretariat support and training on postgraduate procedures.

They will contribute to the execution of Faculty Postgraduate Administration functions and related institutional policies, ensuring

Qualifications

• An appropriate M+3 qualification; AND
• At least 3 years' relevant experience at a Higher Education Institution in an Academic Administration or Postgraduate Faculty Academic Administration environment
• Preference to designated groups as guided by Equity Plan; INCLUDING postgrad faculty administration experience
• Shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo psychometric testing

Responsibilities

• Humanising consultative engagement with students and staff to advise and ensure compliance with postgraduate administration policies
• Perform efficient and effective postgraduate faculty and academic administration processes
• Provide secretariat function for allocated Faculty Postgraduate committees
• Provide training to staff and students on postgraduate administration procedures and policies
