Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• ECSA Pr. Eng registration is mandatory.

• Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS or STAAD.Pro.
• Strong knowledge of SANS-based steel and concrete design.
• FEA experience is a plus.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent engineering firm specializing in the mining and industrial sectors, is looking for a dedicated Structural Engineer to join their team in Rustenburg . This role involves the structural design and analysis of various facilities, including processing plants, material handling systems, and associated infrastructure within the demanding environment of the North West province. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a meticulous approach to design, and the ability to work effectively on complex projects. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.


• Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design principles according to SANS codes.


• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project specifications accurately.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and contractors.


• Previous experience working in or with industries in the Rustenburg area or the North West province is highly valued.
