Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Structural Civil Engineer to join our client’s Rustenburg team and lead design and analysis for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You will collaborate with architects, project managers and contractors to ensure safety, stability and code compliance, developing detailed drawings, calculations and reports for construction teams on-site.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with a Structural specialization.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in structural design of buildings.
• Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration is advantageous.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, Prokon and AutoCAD.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry design principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building foundations, superstructures, and other building components.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Ensure designs comply with the National Building Regulations and relevant structural codes.
• Review construction submittals and provide technical support to site teams during the construction phase.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.
