Job summary

A 1L Realization (Pty) Ltd in South Africa seeks a seasoned Programme Assurance Lead to oversee transformation governance across large-scale initiatives. You will review programme delivery against plans, assess architecture conformance, and provide independent reporting to the Executive Sponsor.

The role requires 10+ years in programme assurance or related fields, strong governance skills, and experience with telecom transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Finance or related field.
• 10+ years' programme assurance, transformation governance, audit, PMO or consulting experience.
• Strong telecommunications / BSS transformation exposure.
• Experience in large enterprise programmes.
• Strong governance, risk and assurance experience.
• Experience with architecture assurance and benefits realisation.
• Excellent executive reporting and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, COBIT, CISA or equivalent advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Establish independent transformation assurance.
• Review programme delivery against approved plans and stage gates.
• Assess architecture and technical conformance.
• Review benefits realisation against baselined measures.
• Assess capability transfer and organisational readiness.
• Validate programme risks, dependencies and issues.
• Review gate evidence and make go/no-go recommendations.
• Provide independent reporting to the Executive Sponsor.
• Challenge delivery assumptions and programme status.
• Monitor adherence to governance frameworks.
• Conduct periodic maturity assessments.
• Track assurance findings through to closure.
• Ensure transformation outcomes remain aligned to strategy.
