Job summary

Industrial Development Corporation in South Africa seeks a Senior Sponsorship and Partnerships lead to develop and manage sponsorships, strategic partnerships, corporate memberships, and stakeholder engagement to advance business objectives, brand positioning, and reputation. You will identify opportunities, negotiate deals, oversee governance and budgeting, and report on ROI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or marketing.
• Postgraduate qualification in strategic communications is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of sponsorship, partnership, stakeholder relations, or corporate affairs experience.
• Experience in managing large-scale corporate platforms and exhibitions.
• Proven sponsorship negotiations and governance submissions experience.
• Budget development and financial management fundamentals.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, governance, and reputation management knowledge.
• Experience in financial services, banking, development finance or public sector bodies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sponsorship strategy aligned to priorities and brand objectives.
• Identify, assess, and recommend opportunities to enhance reputation and engagement.
• Manage end-to-end sponsorship lifecycle: due diligence, negotiations, contracting, implementation, monitoring, reporting.
• Evaluate proposals and prepare business cases for approval.
• Ensure compliance with governance, procurement and financial policies.
• Monitor performance and measure ROI against KPIs.
