Department of Co-Operative Governance and Traditional Affairs in Johannesburg seeks an Assistant Director to lead sourcing and supplier development within Supply Chain Management. The role focuses on updating supplier records, coordinating tenders, and ensuring compliance with PFMA, PPPFA, and Treasury regulations.

You will oversee bid committees, supplier performance, and reporting to management and Provincial Treasury, with a strong emphasis on policy adherence and project coordination.

Qualificações

• Matric plus NQF level 6 or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or recognised qualification by SAQA.
• 3-5 years’ experience in acquisition and contract management in the public service.
• Competencies include PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations, policy formulation and coordination, and tender/contract management procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Update and maintain suppliers database and supplier registrations.
• Procure goods in line with PFMA, PPPFA and SCM guidelines for Accounting Officers.
• Facilitate bid committees and prepare BSC, BEC and BAC minutes.
• Coordinate tender processes and submissions to Adjudication and Public Committees.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tender reports for management and Provincial Treasury.
• Administer RFQ processes and ensure proper supplier performance evaluation.
