Job summary

Gauteng Treasury in Johannesburg seeks an Assistant Director: SCM Demand and Contract Management to supervise contract administration, monitor amendments, and coordinate procurement planning. You will lead tender specifications, ensure compliance, and drive supplier performance against SLAs.

The role requires a three-year qualifying credential at NQF level 7 in relevant fields, plus 3–5 years' experience and strong knowledge of PS Act and Treasury regulations.

Qualifications

• Three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or Law or B-Tech in Logistics.
• Valid driver's license and 3–5 years’ experience in Demand and Contract Management.
• Knowledge of Public Service Act, Treasury Regulations and GPG policies.
• Understanding of accounting principles and GPG financial/administration processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise contract administration: monitor, report, and manage amendments, additions, variations and addenda.
• Coordinate procurement needs planning and annual Procurement and Demand plan creation.
• Prepare tender/quotation specifications and ensure contract compliance and supplier performance.
• Oversee a team to deliver an effective demand management service.
