About the Role

Our client, a leading multinational corporation with a significant presence in Centurion, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead their procurement efforts for indirect services. This critical, on-site role demands a strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver substantial cost savings and enhance supplier performance. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of spend categories, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and leading complex sourcing initiatives. The successful candidate will be based at our client's modern offices in Centurion and will play a pivotal role in driving procurement excellence and ensuring the company achieves its strategic objectives through optimized sourcing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive strategic sourcing plans for assigned indirect spend categories.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing projects, including market analysis, RFP/RFQ development, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Manage key supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with business unit leaders and other stakeholders to understand requirements and align sourcing strategies.
• Analyze spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities and implement savings initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and all relevant regulations.
• Mitigate supply chain risks through proactive supplier management and contingency planning.
• Stay informed about market trends, best practices, and innovative sourcing solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the procurement team.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, with a strong focus on indirect services.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex sourcing events and negotiating high-value contracts.
• Expertise in developing and implementing category strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in spend analysis tools and techniques.
• Excellent understanding of legal and contractual terms relevant to procurement.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems and e-sourcing tools.
• Located in or willing to relocate to Centurion, Gauteng.
