• Negotiate high-value contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing structures with global suppliers.
• Manage and nurture strategic supplier relationships, ensuring performance, compliance, and innovation.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, forecasting savings and tracking performance against targets.
• Collaborate closely with internal business units to understand their needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Develop and implement category management strategies to optimize spend and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in strategic sourcing and procurement.

Requirements

• Proven track record of successfully managing significant spend categories and delivering substantial cost savings.
• Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market intelligence.
• Proficiency in e-sourcing tools, P2P systems, and advanced Excel modeling.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fully remote, collaborative setting.
• Experience in relevant industries within the Western Cape region is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a strategic mindset.
