Job summary

Stefanutti Stocks Coastal in New Germany, Pinetown, is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead end-to-end category management and strategic sourcing for bulk materials, enhancing TCO, supply continuity and delivery performance.

The role requires 12+ years in strategic sourcing, strong negotiation and cross-functional leadership, with advanced Excel and ERP experience. Based in Durban area, some site travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management; professional qualification preferred.
• 12+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain with high-value sourcing.
• Ability to influence executives and lead cross-functional teams in a matrix.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies; analyze spend and risk.
• Lead end-to-end RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, negotiations, and supplier selection.
• Negotiate price and terms; ensure compliance with policy and governance.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage risks, and drive improvements.
• Advise executives, chair sourcing forums, and coach procurement teams.
