Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Security Architect to join a fully remote team. This role guides the strategic direction of the organization’s security architecture across technology domains, designing secure, scalable systems and ensuring security is foundational in all initiatives.

You will collaborate with senior leadership, lead security reviews, and mentor security engineers to drive a strong security posture while enabling innovation in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in information security with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
• Deep expertise across security domains including network, application, cloud security, IAM, and cryptography.
• Proven experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and relevant compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive security architectures for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Define security standards, patterns, and best practices aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of security technologies and solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls into the development lifecycle and infrastructure designs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineering teams and architects.
• Conduct security reviews of proposed system designs and major technology initiatives.
