Placements24 is seeking a diligent Purchasing Officer in Centurion to manage procurement of goods and services across departments. You will process purchase orders, source suppliers, and negotiate costs to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.

The role involves maintaining supplier relationships, tracking orders, and generating regular procurement reports, with remote-work options and a focus on efficiency and strategic sourcing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline
• 2-4 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Excel
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and supplier management

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and orders accurately and efficiently
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers, obtaining quotations and negotiating prices
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new ones
• Track order deliveries and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly
• Manage procurement records and prepare regular purchasing reports
