Placements24 is seeking a structured Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities in Soweto. You will oversee supplier relationships, process purchase orders, and maintain accurate records to support operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Procurement Officer or Buyer or similar purchasing role.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes, supply chain principles and contract management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office and procurement/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders promptly and accurately.
• Identify, vet, and select suppliers based on price, quality, reliability and service.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure best pricing and terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to ensure adequate stock.
• Maintain organized records of purchasing transactions and supplier agreements.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
