Job summary

The Foschini Group (TFG) is seeking an Allocator to manage inbound and outbound inventory across suppliers, the distribution centre, and stores, driving the merchandise distribution strategy. You will collaborate with Planners and Buyers to implement the Merchandise Strategy and support stores and operations with stock requirements.

Qualifications

• Matric essential or equivalent with relevant tertiary qualification.
• Allocator experience is required for the role.
• High numeracy with analytical and strategic approach to work.
• Excel and data analysis capabilities with inferential ability.
• Strong business acumen and merchant thinking.

Responsibilities

• The portfolio entails the strategic inbound and outbound management of inventory from supplier through the DC and finally to stores.
• Allocators are also responsible for formulating and executing a merchandise distribution strategy, as well as act as a point of contact for stores and operations for product requirements and require dedicated administration.
• Working with Planners and Buyers to fully implement the Merchandise Strategy
• Store and merchandise-related (style and sizing) analysis
• Monitoring the delivery of stock and take appropriate action
• Replenishment management
• Effective communication with stores & Operations.
• Monitoring product performance to take appropriate action
• Regular store visits where appropriate
