Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a strategic Legal Advisor to support business development initiatives in Paarl. You will translate business goals into legal strategies for new ventures, partnerships, and market expansion, collaborating with the business development team to provide timely counsel from concept to deal closure.
The role requires an Admitted Attorney with 5+ years of experience, strong contract and corporate law knowledge, and excellent negotiation and communication skills in a fast-paced
Qualifications
- Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally with a blend of in-house and law firm experience.
- Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience advising on commercial transactions and business development projects.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills and ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support for new business initiatives, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to business development activities, including MOUs, NDAs, and investment agreements.
- Conduct legal due diligence on potential partners and new ventures.
- Assess and advise on legal risks associated with business development opportunities.
- Liaise with external counsel on specialized legal matters related to new markets or complex transactions.
- Ensure all business development activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
