Placements24 in Paarl is seeking a junior legal advisor to join its friendly legal team. This entry-level role is ideal for a newly admitted attorney or a candidate attorney nearing completion of articles, offering exposure to commercial law, contracts, and corporate matters.

You will assist in legal research, draft documents, manage files, support governance and compliance, and coordinate with clients under senior counsel supervision in a vibrant agricultural and wine region.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney or candidate attorney nearing completion of articles.
• Strong academic record and foundational knowledge of South African law.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers in legal research and case preparation.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
• Manage legal files and maintain accurate records.
• Provide support in corporate governance matters and compliance activities.
• Communicate with clients and other external parties as directed.
• Perform administrative duties related to the legal department's operations.
