Placements24 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, seeks a Senior Buyer specializing in Indirect Spend to lead strategic sourcing for IT, marketing, facilities, professional services and logistics.

You will drive cost savings, manage supplier performance, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business in a hybrid work setup.

The role requires 6–8 years in procurement, a degree in SCM or related field, and preferably a Master’s or CIPS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, BA, finance or related field.
• Master's degree or CIPS is highly preferred.
• 6–8 years of procurement experience, mainly indirect spend.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation and contract management.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience with ERP and e-procurement platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect spend.
• Conduct market analysis and manage RFx processes.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
• Manage end-to-end procurement for indirect categories.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvement.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the indirect supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Manage indirect procurement budget and report savings.
• Stay informed on market trends and technologies in indirect procurement.
