Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee indirect spend across IT, facilities, marketing, HR services, and professional services. You will lead a team of procurement professionals, develop strategic sourcing plans, and drive cost-saving initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years' procurement experience, including 3 years in indirect spend and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 7 years in procurement with at least 3 years managing indirect spend and a team.
• Proven track record in developing and executing indirect procurement strategies.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with ERP and e-procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for indirect spend, including IT, facilities management, marketing, HR services, and professional services.
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists responsible for various indirect categories.
• Conduct market analysis and supplier research to identify best-in-class providers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value and risk mitigation.
• Manage key supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and ensure alignment of procurement activities.
• Oversee the tendering process and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Develop and manage the budget for indirect procurement activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in indirect procurement.
