Job summary

Tongaat Hulett is seeking a People Specialist to partner with Corporate Office, Central Services and Developments, guiding people practices across the employee lifecycle.

As a trusted advisor, you will drive engagement, talent management and workforce planning while ensuring compliance with labour legislation and internal policies. The role leads the local people team and reports on HC metrics and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years of HR experience.
• Experience with HR analytics and reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to line managers and employees.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes for Bands A to D.
• Drive performance management, goal setting, and development planning.
• Oversee Learning & Development interventions and training needs analyses.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary, grievances, and investigations.
• Ensure data integrity, master data accuracy, and HC reporting.
