Placements24 invites an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead the Mossel Bay fleet in the Western Cape. You will drive strategic oversight of vehicle acquisition, maintenance, compliance, and driver management to boost reliability and service delivery.

In this role you will implement cost-control strategies, optimize maintenance schedules, and leverage fleet management software to deliver measurable improvements and safety compliance across the fleet.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field.
Significant experience in fleet management and operations.
In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fuel management and cost control.
Strong understanding of South African transport legislation and safety protocols.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in fleet management software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to enhance fleet performance and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and inspection schedule for all vehicles in the fleet.
Manage driver recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and compliance with regulations.
Ensure adherence to all relevant transportation laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Implement and manage fleet management software for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
Collaborate with other departments to align fleet operations with overall business objectives.
