Placements24 is seeking a strategic Fleet Operations Manager based in Centurion to oversee fleet maintenance, driver performance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. You will develop strategies to optimize fleet utilization, reduce costs, and maintain high safety standards while supporting a growing logistical network.

The role requires strong leadership, a results-oriented mindset, and deep knowledge of fleet management best practices to drive reliability and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management or a related transportation leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control within a fleet operation.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for efficient fleet management, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
• Supervise and train fleet drivers, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor fleet performance, track key metrics, and implement improvements.
• Manage all aspects of vehicle maintenance, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Oversee budgeting for the fleet department, controlling costs and maximizing ROI.
• Ensure compliance with local and national transportation laws and regulations.
