Job summary

Iress is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager in Johannesburg to drive new client acquisition in the financial sector. You will develop strategic sales plans, demonstrate our products, and negotiate contracts to close deals with both new and existing clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in financial market data or related field.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and contribute to growth.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and target potential clients in the financial sector to drive new client acquisition.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to attract new business and achieve targets.
• Conduct market research to understand client needs and industry trends; report findings to senior team.
• Present and demonstrate products and services to prospective clients, communicating value propositions.
• Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and coordinate with delivery teams.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and forecast, using CRM systems.
