Job summary

Clicks Group in Cape Town seeks a Finance Manager – Distribution Centre to lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and risk management across the operation. You will ensure internal controls, monitor compliance with policies and drive cost optimisation to improve DC profitability.

The role requires 3–5 years in FMCG finance, staff supervision, and strong Excel modelling. A BCom in Finance or related field is essential; CIMA/CA(SA) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan the distribution centre's annual budget and forecasts.
• Compile monthly financial statements and business review reports with deviations and actions.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls and auditors' recommendations.
• Assess ROI for capex to align with business objectives and profitability.
• Manage administrative functions including export documentation and compliance.
• Oversee the Central Audit Process to address picking inaccuracies and drive improvements.
• Lead staff performance and delivery of targets within the team.
• Manage outsourced facilities management partner to ensure SLAs and value.
• Drive cost savings and operational efficiencies across labour, transport, maintenance, and utilities.
• Monitor risk controls across safety, security and compliance.
