Job summary

Hewitt Colenbrander Recruitment seeks a senior finance leader to manage the group’s financial functions, implement robust controls, and maintain IFRS for SMEs compliance. You will own statutory and management reporting, budgeting processes, and cash flow management.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach to drive accurate financial insights and regulatory compliance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Lead the group's financial functions with strict internal controls, policies, and a finance risk register to ensure IFRS for SMEs, SARS, CIPC and COIDA compliance.
• Prepare annual financial statements and provide monthly management accounts (actuals vs. budgets) to guide decisions.
• Direct budgeting and quarterly forecasting, monitor spend against budget to prevent unauthorised expenditure.
• Prepare weekly cash flow requirements and review the balance sheet monthly to assess working capital and liquidity.
• Oversee general ledger integrity by reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, payroll, supplier payments, fixed assets and intercompany balances.
• Manage external audits to achieve zero repeat findings and oversee SARS tax submissions (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and deferred tax).
