Job summary

Takealot Group in Cape Town seeks a Finance Lead for Inventory and Stock Optimisation to own the end-to-end inventory finance across both 1P and 3P businesses. You will manage stock valuations, implement automation, and partner with Retail and Marketplace leaders to optimise stock positions.

The role requires strong data analytics, ERP integration experience, and ability to design automated reporting and reconciliation processes for fast-paced e-commerce operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required or strongly preferred.
• CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is advantageous for seniority and leadership.
• Hands-on experience with stock and ERP system integrations and reconciliations.
• Strong data analytics and automation capabilities to drive inventory finance excellence.

Responsibilities

• Own full financial ownership of inventory across 1P and 3P, including valuation and reconciliations.
• Manage stock costs, landed costs, cost of sales, provisions and write-downs.
• Lead month-end inventory close with accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee IAS 2 compliant inventory accounting and internal controls.
