Placements24 is seeking a proactive Farm Business Manager to oversee financial and operational aspects of a Western Cape agricultural enterprise. This hybrid role blends remote strategic planning with on-site oversight to drive profitability and sustainability.

You will develop business plans, manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure compliance with standards while leading a team across farm operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years in farm management or business operations within agriculture preferred.
• Strong financial planning, budgeting and analytical capability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic business and financial plans for the farm.
• Manage budgets, control expenses and ensure financial targets are met.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including crop production, livestock, and resource allocation.
• Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, labor laws and environmental standards.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, customers and stakeholders.
