Placements24 is seeking a Farm Operations Manager to oversee and optimize agricultural operations at their Rustenburg facility. This hands-on leadership role requires driving productivity while maintaining quality and sustainability across crops, livestock, and farm resources.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive farm management experience, strong financial acumen, and a proven ability to lead and develop staff in a dynamic farming environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or diploma in Agriculture, Farm Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in farm management or similar operational leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in crop production, livestock management, and general farm operations.
• Strong financial management, budgeting and cost-control capabilities within an agricultural context.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all day-to-day farming operations, including planting, cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting schedules.
• Oversee livestock management, ensuring animal health, welfare, and productivity.
• Develop and manage the farm's budget, controlling expenses and profitability.
• Supervise, train, and motivate farm staff, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
• Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental protocols across the farm.
• Manage procurement of supplies, equipment, and machinery, ensuring efficient maintenance and utilization.
