Job summary

Placements24 currently seeks a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join their security team in Kimberley, South Africa. You will research, analyze, and report on emerging threats, threat actors, and their TTPs, translating findings into actionable guidance for defense.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and at least three years in cyber threat intelligence or related security fields, plus familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and threat intel platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/Cybersecurity/Intelligence or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in cyber threat intelligence or security analysis.
• Strong understanding of geopolitical factors affecting cyber threats.
• Familiar with threat intel platforms and analytical frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
• Excellent research, analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic security environment.

Responsibilities

• Research and collect information on current and emerging cyber threats and threat actors.
• Analyze intelligence to identify patterns, TTPs and potential impacts.
• Develop and disseminate threat intelligence reports and alerts to stakeholders.
• Provide strategic intelligence to inform security investments and risk assessments.
• Contribute to threat hunting by providing IOC context.
• Maintain and mature threat intelligence platforms and processes.
