Job summary

IDC is seeking a Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Manager at its Sandton head office. The role provides second-line oversight, designs and improves the IDC Compliance Management System, and drives risk-based compliance across IDC and subsidiaries. Strong leadership, analytics and advisory skills are essential.

The role covers regulatory change, governance reporting and digital compliance, including AI governance, with guidance to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must hold an LLB with additional compliance or governance qualifications.
• Postgraduate compliance/risk/governance studies are advantageous.
• Professional compliance certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the compliance management framework and procedures.
• Identify, analyze and monitor applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain regulatory register and conduct risk assessments.
• Provide advisory support to management and governance committees.
• Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programmes.
• Lead digital compliance initiatives including data governance and AI governance.
• Prepare governance reports for executives and boards.
• Manage and develop direct reports within the team.
